When traveling with Go Port’s Black Car Service, it's important to understand the regulations and legal requirements regarding child safety seats.
Florida Law on Car Seats in Chauffeur-Driven Vehicles
According to Florida Statute §316.613(6), child restraint requirements do not apply to chauffeur-driven vehicles such as:
- Taxis
- Limousines
- Sedans
- Vans
- Buses
- Motor coaches
This applies when the vehicle and driver are hired to provide transportation services.
While the law does not require the use of car seats in this type of transportation, the decision to use one is entirely up to the parent or guardian.
